Sandy Sloane, has been a Jill of All Trades and a Master of Many for most of her life. Today, her consultancy Solutions by Sloane offers clients the best of everything she has learned and experienced in a variety of disciplines in the areas of employee engagement, learning & development, workforce and sales training, special events, communications, and team building. Her extensive background in major markets has been used for B2B, B2C, and non-profit organizations.

Armed with over 3 decades of experience and a reputation as a “training guru”, Sandy is known as an outstanding learning & development professional who uses interactivity and humor – combined with vital information – to ensure students are educated, enriched, engaged, and empowered. She is equally comfortable creating custom seminars/webinars/workshops as she is with deploying existing information and data.
Sandy is passionate about teaching leaders how to help their teams grow and thrive by providing positive work environments. “I remember working for bosses who didn’t provide growth opportunities, making me feel disengaged and discouraged. I truly felt my hard work didn’t matter. After seeing the untapped potential of other unmotivated co-workers, I had my AHA moment and found my calling.” Today Sandy helps businesses unleash and foster the talents of their teams through interactive learning & development, team building, and special events designed to unleash the limitless possibilities within their most important resource: the human capital of their employees.
Creating opportunities for engagement is truly her “superpower”. Sandy’s secret weapons are her hands on techniques including humor, role playing, quizzes, illustrative media, storytelling, and games with prizes to help teams grasp even the most mundane material. Research has conclusively shown that humor systematically activates the brain’s dopamine reward system, essential for both goal-oriented motivation and long-term memory.
Regarding special events, Sandy has been orchestrating events most of her life, notably assisting in the planning of her own birthday parties as a child. Born just a week before Valentine’s Day, Sandy’s mother taught her the value of using a fun theme to enhance even a simple gathering for a bunch of 6 year olds. Every year, the neighborhood kids all clamored for an invitation to Sandy’s Valentine’s Day themed birthday parties, complete with red and pink heart-shaped decorations and Cupid goody bags which became the envy of the playground set. When schoolmates began asking about her party plans as early as December, Sandy knew she had found one of her life’s passions.
Large music and lifestyle events such as concerts, Super Bowl halftime shows, parades, and road races attended by tens of thousands to targeted high profile events such as black-tie galas, award programs, fashion shows, golf tournaments, speaker series, and employee engagement events are just a small sampling of programs she has conceived and produced.
Since graduating from Tufts University, Sandy has had full-time and consulting positions with local and national companies running the gamut from non-profit organizations to media conglomerates, from large corporations to small businesses and tech start-ups/accelerators, from telecommunications companies to newspapers and online publications. Sandy recently obtained her Master’s Degree in Strategic Leadership and Organizational Management to be able to assist her clients even more.

Working with numerous employees and volunteers on training programs and team building events, Sandy has taught workers the value of utilizing teamwork to achieve common goals. During the course of her career, she has been responsible for generating millions of dollars in both her corporate and non-profit roles using customized campaigns designed to create buzz, heighten brand awareness, increase revenue, and ensure employee satisfaction.

Sandy has also been a journalist for decades writing for publications including The Miami Herald, The Sun-Sentinel, Family Circle Magazine, The Democrat & Chronicle, et al. She has been widely published and has garnered hundreds of placements for her clients in local, regional, national, and international print, electronic, and online platforms. Sandy has authored six popular children’s picture books about bullying, peer pressure, gratitude, imagination, and kindness.
Her personal philosophy is, “If someone doesn’t have a smile, give them one of yours!” and is a strong adherent to the concept of always paying it forward. As a native of the Empire State, Sandy’s “New York State of Mind” can help you figure out your team’s passion and ignite it to a roaring success.
