It is not often that you find someone like Sandy. Sandy is one of the most creative, dedicated, results-oriented people I have had the pleasure to work with. I just finished partnering with Sandy on a 3-month project for the Canandaigua Area Chamber of Commerce. Sandy was originally hired to facilitate a search for our new Executive Director, but what we gained from Sandy’s experience, enthusiasm, and true zest for life was much more. I attended Sandy’s seminar on “DIY PR”, giving people ideas on what they can do to create their own PR without hiring an agency. Many people there had local companies which are a little different from my business which has customers spread out all over the country. When I asked about broader application of these PR ideas, Sandy recommended something called HARO: “Help a Reporter Out”. This organization helps reporters that are pitching stories find sources on various subjects. I began responding and a reporter called and interviewed me. Within days, the article was published in many papers and online new sites across the country. The article mentioned my name, my business name, what I do and a quote. Amazing!
